| Architect and graphist by training, Patrick Laillet begun painting out of internal necessity. His travel route is marked by numerous detours that structure his creation. Naturally curious and eclectic by vocation, endlessly experimenting with different techniques, he first started as a figurative watercolourist before rapidly evolving toward abstraction, which is his favourite medium. Fascinated by calligraphy for a long time, Patrick Laillet felt a necessity to introduce it in his paintings, and transmit something through writing. |
